Before your appointment.

Two things are worth settling before you choose a date.

• Treatment is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• If you have a history of cold sores, lip permanent makeup can trigger them. Speak to a medical professional before treatment.
• If you have had lip filler recently, you may need to wait. Mention it when you book so the studio can advise on timing rather than move your appointment later.

Once your appointment is booked, complete the health questionnaire. It takes a few minutes and it is read before your appointment, not on the day — which is the point. If something in it needs discussing, the practitioner would rather do that beforehand than at the door.

Answer it honestly, including anything you are unsure is relevant. Your answers are health data and are handled accordingly — see the privacy policy.

Skincare, medication, medical conditions, recent treatments, upcoming events — if you are wondering whether something affects your appointment, ask the studio before the day rather than guess.

Never start or stop a prescribed medication for a cosmetic appointment. If something you take might matter, that is a conversation with your doctor, and then with the practitioner.

• The studio is at Albertinkatu 5, 00150 Helsinki. Give yourself a few minutes rather than arriving at a run: the appointment opens with a conversation, and it goes better without a clock running.
• Allow the whole appointment. A new treatment runs around two and a half hours from arrival to aftercare, and nobody is booked after you until it is finished.
• Bring anything that helps the colour conversation — a lipstick you wear constantly, or a photograph of a result you like. Colour is mixed for your undertone, and knowing what you reach for is useful.
• Eat beforehand and bring water. You will be in the chair for a while.

Your appointment runs in four stages: consultation, colour match, the pigment work itself, then aftercare.

Nothing is applied until you have agreed the shape and the colour. The consultation is where questions get answered properly — about your skin, your history, what will happen while it heals, and what a realistic result looks like on you.
